EDGE Guides

EDGE is the Local Portfolio Management System (LPMS) within CRN South London. It is a cloud-based research management system used in all delivery settings including primary care, secondary care, and health and care settings outside of the NHS to record and manage up-to-date study, site and research information.

Each organisation within CRN South London will manage EDGE in a different way and if you have any questions with regards to local management of studies please contact your local R&D Team.

The Central Portfolio Management System (CPMS) is a cloud-based portfolio management system, which has replaced the UKCRN Portfolio and Industry Application Gateway databases.

Through this we can access the life-cycle of studies in a single system for the first time, with data from this system being made available in our CRN South London ODP application. This puts us in a stronger position to build greater insight and deliver more effective support for clinical research in NHS and social care settings.
